ISDE 2011

Welcome

Welcome to the home page for the 2011 Wellard ISDE campaign to be held in the Kotka-Hamina region in Southern Finland from the 8th to 13th of August, 2011.

After three previous successful years with Aussie teams, in 2010 we moved across the Tasman to the land of the long white cloud to back a New Zealand Team. After an eventful beginning to the Mexico campaign, the Wellard team went to battle with some of the world’s best Enduro riders in the Club Team division. From the seventy four teams in the class they managed to claim a second outright podium beating all but one other team!!

This year Wellard is again proud to support a Kiwi team in Finland and also welcome  back long time partner Yamaha Australasia. Our riders will pilot their ultra reliable race winning bikes whilst navigating the six solid days of competition.

Second place was nothing but pure icing on the cake for the team who only days before the race were faced with injured riders derailing months of planning and investment. But the Wellard ethos of being the best we can in everything we do came to the forefront in 2010, producing the greatest result from our four campaigns so far.

The ISDE now attracts over five hundred riders from up to thirty-two countries each year cementing its reputation as the most prestigious and long established event in the racing calendar.

So please keep an eye on our team’s progress while the Wellard NZ riders race with the best Enduro riders in the world. The Team News page and the Photo Gallery will be updated on a daily basis.
