Wellard Yamaha Team Management

The Wellard Yamaha Team is managed by professionals who are dedicated to promoting motorsport.

Each has extensive experience in off-road motorcycle racing and a passion for the sport. Their knowledge of what it requires to compete in an ISDE event, and to finish, will prove invaluable for the ISDE rookies selected in the team.

Team Director – Mauro Balzarini

Mauro Balzarini is the Principal and Managing Director of the Wellard Group  and of Siba Ships.

A big aficionado of motorcycle racing and a professional Enduro rider in his twenties, he still rides his Yamaha Enduro bike and completed his 5th ISDE in New Zealand in 2006.

His first ISDE was in 1981 so he has been involved in racing for over 25 years.

His victories include Italian Championships as well as international races.

Mauro’s passion for motor sports and his desire to see Western Australian involvement in international endure racing spurred him to set up the Wellard Australia Women’s Trophy Team.

Despite his many commitments he will be personally managing the team in Portugal – trying to transfer his experience to the riders to enable them to extract the best possible result for themselves and the team.
