Western Australia’s vast Wheatbelt is renowned throughout the world as one the best addresses for the sustainable production of grains, oilseeds and legumes, including wheat, barley, oats, canola and lupins.

Utilising advances in cropping systems, farming technology and machinery, Wellard is one of the largest grain growers in Western Australia and is among the Top 10 in Australia.

Western Australia’s disease-free status, its proximity to Asia and the Middle East, its massive grain growing areas, water usage efficiency  and its counter-cyclical growing season to the Northern Hemisphere provide Western Australian grain producers with marketing opportunities which are the envy of grain producers throughout the world.

Wellard Agri and its individual farm managers are focused on optimising grain production to sustainably increase yields and reduce costs.

Wellard Agri farms also provide the perfect testing and proving grounds for the CLAAS Harvest Centre range of machinery.

Satellite monitoring and guidance technology is employed to increase efficiency, minimise input cost and reduce the company’s carbon footprint through the use of ‘auto steer’ on farm machinery, as well as trialled Variable Rate Technology for fertiliser and seed distribution.

In addition to supplying locally-based grain marketers with export quality grain, Wellard utilises its international business links to directly supply canola and wheat to Japan, barley to Indonesia and lupins to Turkey.
