Fire On Wellard Vessel At Fremantle Port

MEDIA RELEASE

Wellard can confirm there has been a fire on board its vessel Ocean Drover at Fremantle Port.

The fire occurred in the ship’s accommodation area. All crew have been accounted for and safely evacuated from the vessel. One person has been injured and is receiving medical treatment.

No livestock were on board the vessel at the time of the fire.

Wellard is working with emergency services in relation to the incident.

Further information will be provided by Wellard once the fire has been extinguished.
